Born in Paris where she studied fine arts at UCAD (Union Centrale des Arts Décoratifs) in Paris.Lives in Germany and now in Belgium, Brussels. 

From 2000 to 2005, having met the Italian artist Francesco Narduzzi, she worked in her own studio in Monte Romano in the Italian province of Latium. Virginie Simon explores the theme of landscapes through the origin of Etruscan scriptures and symbols. In this period she launches the « Parcelles of landscapes » project.

The Parcelles project has been continued with impressions from her voyages through among others Middle Eastern countries.

Virginie Simon questions the theme of plants, living organisms, their forms, their structures, their interaction with the environment that she transposes into a thematic and pictorial reflection. Her work has been shown in exhibitions in France, Germany, Italy, Belgium, United Kingdom.

Projet qui se poursuit pendant ses voyages au Moyen Orient. Le questionnement sur le thème des végétaux, des organismes vivants leurs formes leurs structures leurs comportement avec l’environnement se transpose dans une réflexion thématique et picturale. Expose en France, Allemagne, Italie, Belgique, Grande Bretagne.
